28. November - Hundebiss
Für heute hatte ich großes geplant. Ich wollte mit dem Motorrad ins Dorf fahren, um zu sehen, wie die Straße aussieht, ob man denn schon mit den Autos durchkommen würde. Ich hatte im Internet nachgeschaut wann genau Flut ist, damit ich zur richtigen Zeit am Fluss ankomme, um ihn dann mit dem Boot zu überqueren...
Today I've had big plans. I wanted to take my motorbike and drive out to the village to have a good look at the road, to see if it would be possible for us to go out with the trucks. I had checked the internet to see what time the tide is high, so I would get to the river at the right time, to cross it in the boat...
Aber es kam anders. Ich hab es nämlich nicht einmal bis zum kleinen Laden an der Straßenecke geschafft, um mir Brot fürs Frühstück zu kaufen. Also, ich hab es schon geschafft, wurde aber unterwegs von einem Hund gebissen. Ich konnte es nicht glauben. Dieses Biest. Ich kannte den Hund schon von vorherigen Begegnungen. Er hat schon mal Baxter angegriffen und auch auf ihm Bissspuren hinterlassen. Jedes mal also, wenn ich die Straße runter lauf, schau ich eigentlich immer, ob er nicht in der nähe ist um ihn abzuwehren. Man muss nur so tun als ob man einen Stein aufhebt und schon rennen Hunde normalerweise weg.
Heute war ich ohne Baxter unterwegs und dachte mir, dass ich dann von keinerlei Interesse bin. Ich hab ihn auch rumlaufen sehen, aber hab nun wirklich nicht damit gerechnet, dass er von hinten ankommt und mich in die Wade beißt...
But it didn't happen. I didn't even make it down the road to that little boutique to buy bread. Actually, I did make it, but got bitten by a dog on my way. I couldn't believe it. What a beast! I knew that dog from walking with Baxter. Several times we had met him on the road. In the past he had bitten Baxter already and would always be a little aggressive. So usually I watch out for him, to make sure he doesn't come to close. I just have to pretend I pick up a rock from the ground and the dogs here would run off.
Today I was without Baxter and thought I would be of little interest to him or the other dogs. I saw him running around on the side of the road, but the last thing I imagined was, that he would come from behind and bit me in my lower leg....
Ich hab dann noch kurz das Brot geholt :D. Wahrscheinlich halb unter Schock und bin heim gelaufen. Hab dann kurz meine Handtasche genommen und ein Bekannter hat mich auf seinem Motorrad zum Krankenhaus gefahren. Nicht dass die Wunde jetzt so schlimm wäre, aber bei so Hundebissen muss man sich sicherheitshalber gegen Tetanus und Tollwut impfen lassen. Ich hab diese Impfungen zwar schon. Aber vor allem Tollwut muss man auffrischen lassen.
After he was gone, I went and bought the bread and headed back home. I just grabbed my purse and a friend of mine took me on his motorbike to the hospital. Not so much for the wound, it's not very deep or anything, but more to get vaccinated. You never know with bites. So to be on the save side I got a Tetanus shot and a Rabies shot.
Von 8 Uhr bis 12:30Uhr war ich im Krankenhaus. Ich bin in die Notaufnahme gegangen, hab mit einem Arzt gesprochen. Dann wurde nach ca 40min warten, die Wunde gesäubert. Ich musste dann zu einem anderen Arzt, der mir das Rezept für den Impfstoff ausstellen muss. Der hat mich dann zu einem Schalter geschickt um eine bestimmt Nummer zu holen. Dann bin ich wieder zurück. Dann hat er etwas auf einen Zettel geschrieben und ich musste damit zum Abrechnungsbüro. Dort wurde gesagt, das etwas nicht stimmt. Also zurück zum Arzt. Dann wieder ins Abrechnungsbüro. Die drucken einen Zettel aus. Mit dem muss ich in ein anderes Büro und dort die Rechnung für den Impfstoff zu bezahlen. Also geh ich hin, bezahle alles. Der Mann gibt mir einen Zettel, damit muss ich zu einem Schalter damit sie es in den Computer eingeben, nachdem er es eingegeben hat, macht diesem Mann einen Stempel drauf. Mit dem Papier muss ich zu einem anderen Mann, der noch einen Stempel drauf macht. Mit dem Zettel muss ich zurück zu dem Arzt der es verschrieben hat. Dieser macht wieder was am Computer und sagt ich kann jetzt zur Apotheke den Impfstoff holen...
Ich hab bestimmt ein paar Schalter und Büros vergessen... aber so ungefähr läuft das hier. Man braucht Ausdauer, das sag ich euch. Und das bei 34°Grad. Das Krankenhaus ist nämlich nicht ein großes Haus, sondern viele kleine, zwischen denen man hin und her laufen muss...
Auf jeden Fall, bin ich heute dann nicht mehr ins Dorf. Das wollte ich nur sagen !
From 8 to 12:30 am I was at the hospital. I went to the ER and talked to a doctor there. After waiting for about 40 minutes they cleaned my wound. Then I had to go to see a different Doctor, who had to prescribe the vaccines. He sent me to a desc to get a certain number he needed in order to prescribe it. I got the number, came back. He wrote something on that paper and I had to go to the finance office. They told me something is not right, I have to go back. I went back. Went to the Finance office again. They print out a paper and tell me to go to a different office to pay the bill. I go to that office. I pay the bill. That man gives me a paper and sends me to another office, where they enter the things in a computer. The computer man enters everything, hands me a paper and sends me to a desk where I have to get a stamp. I get that stamp. I get sent to another man who has to put another stamp on it. Are you kidding me?? I have to go back to the doctor that prescribed the medicine, he enters something in the computer. Okay, I can go to the pharmacy now..... already?? Thank you!! Not to mention that its 93,2°F. The hospital is not one big building. Its many small ones and you have to run back and forth between them.
Anyways, all of this to say, I didn't go to the village today. Maybe another day...

Da ist es in D deutlich einfacher, weil die allermeisten krankenversichert sind. Einfach das Kärtchen reichen und alles wird gemacht.
