Ein neues Jahr / A new Year

So lässt sich das neue Jahr gut starten... leckere Pancakes mit Schokoaufstrich und Äpfel. Welch ein Genuss :D.

Wenn es schon gut startet hoffe ich dass es auch gut weiter geht. Ich bin gespannt was das neue Jahr alles bringen mag und vor allem, zu sehen wie Gott wirken wird. Gestern Abend, wurden wir bei unsrer Silvesterfeier dazu aufgefordert, zu überlegen, wie Gott das vergangene Jahr für uns gesorgt hat und wie ER uns geführt hat. Es war schön einige Begebenheiten von Freunden zu hören. Zu hören, wie Gott sie geführt hat, das ER sich um sie gekümmert hat. Und auch ich musste daran denken, wie Gott mir auch in diesem Jahr treu gewesen ist. ER hat mir super Teamkollegen geschenkt, ER hat mir gezeigt, wo ER mich als nächstes haben möchte und Gott selbst hat auch dafür gesorgt, dass ich erst mal nicht alleine nach Guinea gehen muss. Gemeinsam haben wir auch das Lied "Never once" gesungen, in dem es heißt: "Never once did we ever walk alone, never once did you leave us on our own, you are faithful, God, you are faithful" (Nicht ein mal sind wir alleine gegangen, nicht ein mal hast du uns alleine gelassen, du bist treu Gott, du bist treu! ) Es ist immer wieder gut daran erinnert zu werden, das wir einem lebendigen Gott dienen, der auch heute noch in unseren Leben wirkt. Egal wo wir sind. In diesem sinne - Frohes neues Jahr ! :D

Since it started well, I hope that it continues well. I'm looking forward to see what the new year will bring, and above all, to see how God will work this year. Last night, at our New Year's Eve party, we were asked to think back to how God has provided for us the past year and how He has guided us. It was nice to hear some friends sharing their experiences...to hear how God has guided them, how He has looked after them. And I too had to remember how God has been faithful to me this year. He provided great team-mates, he showed me where HE wants me to be next and God himself has also provided someone so I don't have to go to Guinea on my own. We also sung the song "Never once"- "Never once did we ever walk alone, never once did you leave us on our own, you are faithful, God, you are faithful" . It's always good to be reminded that we serve a living God who still workes in our lives today. No matter where we are. Happy new year !! :D
