Guinea #1 - im Dorf / Guinee #1 - out in the village

I'd have a really great time in Guinee. I visited missionaries who have been there for 20 years already. .. they even build a hospital in their village ( with the help of others, but anyway). It was really neat to see how they developed relationships to the people, help them in different ways and were able to share Gods Word with them. It was really encouraging.
It had been my first time visiting Guinee and I was surprised by how different it is than Senegal. When the plane landed I already remarked that it is really green down there.... the climate is more tropical and I think the plants are different... I felt like in the amazon area (even though I've never been there :D ). In Senegal it's more dessert like - dry and flat... not a lot of trees .

On the way to the village... everything is so green.

The first 5 h we could drive on a decent road...

... the left 2,5h of the trip we had to drive off road. It felt more like driving through the jungle - and I might have to mention that it was night when we drove in. There were quite a few mud wholes I wasn't sure we would make it through, especially after I was told how many times they've gotten stuck already.

So sah dann das Dorf aus...
That's what the village looked like...
