Jeder Tag bringt wohl Überraschungen mit sich. Der eine mehr wie der andere. Heute war ich gerade dabei meine Sachen zu sortieren, ich hatte alles schön auf mein Bett rausgelegt um zu entscheiden, was ich direkt mit nach Guinea nehmen werde und was noch ein bisschen warten kann, bis einer meiner Kollegen mal nach Guinea reist. Ich wollte schon mal schauen ob es mit dem Gewicht des Koffers hinhaut, bevor es am Montag losgeht. Ich hab dann eine kurze Pause eingelegt und meine e-mails gecheckt. Uuuund - die Überraschung des heutigen Tages: Der Flug für Montag wurde storniert. Die Fluggesellschaft hat sich wohl entschieden, keine direkt Flüge nach Guinea mehr durch zu führen. Super ! Sie haben auch keinen Alternativflug angeboten, sondern werden das Geld auf mein Konto zurück überweisen. Na, wenigstens das ;) !
Der Plan sieht jetzt so aus, das Leah und ich noch eine weitere Woche in Dakar verbringen werden und dann mit einem unserer Kollegen nach Guinea fahren werden. Er hat vor ein paar Tagen entschieden, dass er am 16. Januar fahren wird und er hat gemeint er kann uns mitnehmen. Das Gute daran ist, dass ich jetzt gar nicht mehr genau darauf achten muss, wieviel Kilo mein Koffer hat und ich höchst wahrscheinlich auch ein paar meiner Kisten mitnehmen kann. Manchmal wunder ich mich darüber wie Gott handelt und ich versteh nicht immer, warum etwas gerade so läuft, wie es läuft. Aber vielleicht versteh ich es irgendwann hinter her - oder auch nicht ;). Wie dem auch sei, Gott ist gut und er weiß was er tut !!
Every day holds surprises. One more than the other. Today I was just sorting trough my things, I had put everything on my bed to decide what I would take with me to Guinea and what I would leave till one of my colleagues travels to Guinee. I wanted to check the weight of my suitcase and get it ready for my journey on Monday. But than I took a short break and checked my e-mails. Aaaand - the surprise of the day: the flight for Monday got canceled. The airline has decided to not do any direct flights to Guinee anymore. Excellent ! They didn't even offered an alternative flight, but wrote that they would transfer the money back to my account. Well, at least something ;) !
So now the plan is that Leah and I will spend another week in Dakar and then go to Guinea with one of our colleagues. He decided a few days ago that he'll drive down to Guinee January 16th and he said that he can take us with him. The good thing about it is that I don't have to care to much about the weight of my suitcase and that I can most likely take a few of my boxes with me. Sometimes I wonder how God is directing and I don't always understand why something is going just the way it is. But perhaps I'll understand it afterwards - or not;). God is good and he knows what he is doing !!
